Before the storm

I went to F;s to help him set up his new phone.  It's not a smart phone but still took us all morning.

Later we decided to go for a walk around the town.  There was hazy sunshine and quite warm.  We saw two holly blue butterflies on an ivy bush (extra).

As we walked the sky got darker and darker and then the thunder started followed by the rain.  We sheltered under an archway as the rain poured (extra), the lightening flashed and the thunder boomed. When it had gone off a bit, we hurried to F's house. There was a flash flood outside on the pavement and we had to paddle to his door.  Luckily it had gone down when I left a while later.
