Dinner Companions
We walked to the Friends’ Meeting House this morning to share a peaceful and inspiring hour together. Kevin gave a little prepared talk that he’d been invited to share with the group to set a theme for the morning. It appeared to resonate with several others in the room.
Afterwards, some of the group met to have a discussion around a very interesting talk given by an American Quaker lady recently.
Then we had a simple shared lunch together with a cake to celebrate the birthday of a two year old in the group.
We passed a peaceful afternoon napping and reading, because it had started to rain again.
In the evening, equipped with umbrellas and rain gear, we went out for another opportunity to dine at Al Forno, an Italian restaurant in town. On our previous attempt, they had run out of the very two dishes on their menu that we had been looking forward to. So this was our repeat visit. This time we had phoned ahead to reserve the dishes in question. However, we still had a hitch due to a misunderstanding, but we got there in the end and it was worth the delay.
Meanwhile heard from Dan, who is touring Ireland with a couple of friends, that he has started a course of antibiotics for what apparently was pneumonia which has been troubling him since he arrived in the UK.
