The WOODen door - I wonder where it leads to?  For MonoMonday, thanks to jacZero for kindly hosting this month.

On this, another hot, sunny and humid day my walk took me down Bottom Lane and into the woods where I saw the door.  My Merlin Bird App confirmed that I had heard a Chiffchaff, I saw it too but not quick enough to get a photo, A Redstart, wish I had seen that, a common woodpigeon (seen too many of these) and a Eurasian Jackdaw (love these cheeky birds.  I also saw lots of ripening Blackberries but wouldn’t want to eat the ones you can see in Extra. 


The towering cumulus is becoming huge and we’re forecast for more thunderstorms later.  Glad to have got the washing in and beautifully dry.

Going to some camping friends this evening for a meal.  They only got back last week from their 6 week  European motorhome adventure and are off again somewhere on Thursday for family visits and we won’t be catching up with them again until early September when we meet them in Cambs. for the Duxford Air Show.
