Juvenile robin

I bumped into this juvenile robin on my early walk this morning and have to say that funny and rather grumpy-looking little face made me smile.  I'm sure s/he wasn't really put out, it's just something about the way young birds still have a bit of the chick they were showing at the extended corners of their beak.

Does that make any sense?  Not sure, never mind.

Apart from that walk much of my day has been taken up first visiting a local plant nursery, then getting my new rose and extras into the ground. And I was able to do the lot, and dry the washing, in brilliant sunshine.  The sky has been mostly blue and we've had only about 3 spots of rain.  Not good really, we could do with a lot more, but it did help me get everything done, for which I'm thankful.
