Chicory flower with hoverfly
Chichorium intybus
Once again I've stayed close to base today for my blip. This chicory flower was captured in a lovely shaft of early morning sun down on Tom's track. The hoverfly homing in seemed a happy bonus.
,Apart from a quick trip into town to re-supply salad ingredients needed for supper, I've spent the rest of the day at home - mostly in the garden or just being boringly domestic. My neighbour had her fence renewed this morning, so she and I have spent quite a lot of time chatting, but if you don't count this it's been an absolutely average day!
However, I'm not complaining - except for the fact that I'm finding the hot, close weather pretty enervating. No rain, just sun followed by heavy grey clouds holding in the heat. Ah, well ..
Many thanks to JDO for hosting TinyTuesday this month. And have a lovely evening, dear blipfriends xx
