Mono Monday: Wood

A Mono Monday theme of 'wood'.

This is a sculpture of a Hornbill made from a piece of driftwood that we bought on a safari holiday in Namibia some years ago.  Amongst the many wooden souvenirs that were being sold on roadside stalls that were supposedly hand made by the vendors but looked remarkably similar wherever you went, this one stood out as something quite unique.

Of course, we bought one or two of the other ones while we were there.  One was a wooden bowl with a carved zebra looking as though it was eating from the bowl.  On our return we saw several almost identical ones for sale in our local John Lewis department store.
