Blooming

On days like these, the garden feels like a jungle and I imagine that a machete would be more useful than my secateurs..I am continually cutting back shrubs, weeds, perennials that have finished flowering, grass, low hanging branches…

And yet it is lovely to be out there amongst all the flowers, trees, birds and bees. There have been some towering thunderclouds passing by, but no rain. Just warm sunny intervals.

We went to town for aqua/sauna, visited the Post Office , topped up the car with petrol, washed and dried some clothes, bottled some kombucha. An ordinary but enjoyable day :-)
