Bits and Bobs!

Marienkäfer at the RUH

(Trying to keep up my new German vocab. Was so rusty while I was there. You'd never guess that I lived in Germany for three years and originally trained as a bilingual secretary in both German and French. I could even do shorthand in both languages. But no more...)

Phoned the hospital first thing to be told no discharge plans for Dad as yet, so trotted off into Bath, switching to a second new-to-me bus called The Big Lemon! Big change in Dad from yesterday, quite unwell, so very shocked to then be told that he was being discharged first thing tomorrow. Asked to speak to Consultant which involved a 3½hrs wait. Decision will be made at 8am tomorrow after further assessment.

On the bus on the way home a Ladybird was crawling up and down on the window next to me, with no chance of escape. So when we got to my stop I carefully picked up the ladybug, carried her off the bus and set her free. Expect the other passengers thought I was bonkers!

Am now hastily trying to get the house ready for the likely return of the patient tomorrow morning.

Thank you for all your kind stars and hearts for yesterday's stained glass window.
