Random act of kindness

Someone left a bowl of fresh water by the sidewalk on a hot summer day in Oregon. For passing dogs.

It reminds me that eight years ago, during the first Trump nightmare, friends trained for months to fly to Arizona and carry gallons of water into the desert. They learned that as soon as they left, agents found the water jugs they left and slit them open, letting the water pour out onto the ground. Now the group has given up hauling water into the desert, but they provide other services, and they are still soliciting volunteers and donations. Their work is described on the No More Deaths website.

This two-minute video has no people in it: just images of that part of the desert. The organization is stronger now than it was during the first Trump term. Kindness is persistent.
