Probing proboscis

It's the day for butterflies and bees on the buddleia. At one point there were about six peacocks, one small tortoiseshell, one small white and countless bees and bumble bees.

Although this shot is not perfectly crisp, there was quite a breeze which made for a lot of movement in the flower heads, it does show some of the less familiar parts of a peacock butterfly, including the proboscis sucking up the nectar.
