Monday: Twickenham

Our friends, B&F, have come down from Altrincham to stay for a few days.  They arrived around 2pm so I immediately plied them with fruit scones.  No one escapes my home-made goods these days.

Later in the afternoon we went to Twickenham.  A pleasant stroll (under this bridge) took us to ‘The White Swan’.  It’s known for very high river tides, occasionally forcing customers to stay in the pub until it subsides, but sadly that wasn’t the case today.

Never mind, as it did mean that we could go to Twickenham on ‘Shiuli’ for an excellent Indian meal.  It’s been a lovely day, catching up.
