Tuesday: Library

Workmen arrived early to start work on our front pathway.  That will be an exciting blip to share with you when it’s done!

For today’s excursion with B&F we went to Ham House, one of our local stately piles.  We were very lucky with the rain - although it did rain intermittently we able to avoid getting wet.  We really enjoyed looking through the interior of the house and who doesn’t love a library full of leather-bound books.

From there we went to Orleans House for a look at the house, gardens and a walk to the river.

Excellent barbecue dinner with lots of nice conversation.  B & K have known each other since they 16 and 18 respectively so there’s a lot of shared history there.
