Lili

It’s a trip to Liverpool today for my biweekly blood tests. The journey’s longer than expected due to a car on fire which means long tailbacks as the road’s temporarily closed. By the time e we pass, it’s just a burnt out smoking shell… no casualties fortunately.

Conversely, my blood test is incredibly quick. Usually, there’s a long wait in The Royal, but today I’m straight in and out - before G’s even got to the car park - so we can drive straight on to Meols where I accompany Daniel to pick up Lili from nursery. She’s had a very busy couple of weeks with visits from her German grandparents and one of Daniel’s friends, which might explain her reluctance to come to me, eying me with suspicion. Even worse, when she sees G back at home, she bursts into tears!

It takes a while for her to come round to accepting us  - although it’s only two weeks since she last saw us - but as today’s blip shows, she’s soon playing happily outside in the rather unexpected sunshine. She loves her little red car - and G is quite happy pushing her around the garden.

I really must remember to make sure all traces of her last meal have been removed before photos - and there’s probably still some traces of nursery grime!
