A new menagerie
Part of the delight of Wendy's creation of an English garden in the south of France is the range of different insects that come to call. I brought the macro lens for that reason.
It's been a pool day - delightfully relaxing - polished off with a long post-dinner walk around the lake and the neighbouring villages.
So the main image is, I believe, a thin waisted wasp prionyx kirbii otherwise known as Superwasp (you'll believe an insect can fly...), while the extra appears to be something named Tenthredo bifasciata...
