Morton Hall Gardens
In Worcestershire.
A beautiful garden created by a woman , Anne Olivieri, who having made lots of money in , I think, publishing*, bought this lovely 18th century house with a completely Laurel infested garden and had the vision to make this gorgeous space. The design was done by Charles Chesshire with Anne Olivieri
We’ve been at tulip time and that is spectacular too.
The gardens are not open every day , just a few dates a year. Profits go to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre company costume department.
The entry fee includes a delicious cream tea
*Anne's husband Rene Olivieri was CEO of Blackwell publishing. He is now the Chair of the National Trust
RIP Ozzy Osbourne. End of an era
