Spicebush Swallowtail
We slept in; it felt so good. Hubby said Momma got up earlier, drank a little coffee and went back to bed. I had breakfast on my front porch, the temps aren’t too bad. We have numerous butterflies these days. This one caught my eye first. I got Momma up at 10:30. She showered and I made her breakfast: Danish, cantaloupe, banana and more of her chocolate raspberry coffee. She’s been in her reclining chair napping ever since. We are going to have her out a lot this week so she can rest up today. I cleaned the kitchen and put away the remaining three loads of laundry and misc clutter from the trip. I worked until my heel forced me to sit. This ailment is getting the best of me and I have a super high tolerance for pain. Like they say, what won’t kill you will make you stronger (or something like that). My sister and BIL are heading to WV. They will probably finish the work on our bedroom and bath this trip. I sure miss going up there. Hubby picked up groceries, took the car papers I signed back to the dealer and now he is cutting grass. What a job that will be. Will probably have to do it twice. Renee has supplied us with tons of leftovers plus what I made last night. Parker brought it over and stayed a couple hours. He is such a go getter. Renee is making my mother soft stewed chicken in gravy for tonight. Momma has trouble chewing so that will be a wonderful treat. I shouldn’t have to cook much this week. Wishing you an easy week. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “As with the butterfly, adversity is necessary to build character in people.” – Joseph B. Wirthlin.
