Bombus

This beautifully pristine almost velvety furry bee was enjoying what was left of the afternoon on the globe thistles here in the garden. We really need a lot of rain here as the grass has gone dry and brittle in many places. 

The family are heading back here tomorrow after a few days on the south coast so hopefully it won't rain then!!
