Macclesfield

Today I took a five o'clock train from Waverley, changed at Stafford, and came back up to Macclesfield. I have a room in a house very close to where I went to school (1974-83). Some of the area hasn't changed a bit, but other parts are unrecognisable.

Earlier I'd tidied up my program development long before I had to leave, which makes a change. Normally I'm desperately trying to finish an overambitious task, but today I could do a bit of housework and give Django a brief walk before getting the bus into Edinburgh. With plenty of time before my train, I got off early and toured a few familiar sights, such as this: Greyfriars Church.

Now watching extra time in the women's semifinal in a not entirely charmless sports bar... and rather exciting!
