The Feast Day of Saint Bridget of Sweden.
Born 1303, Uppland, Sweden.
Died 23rd July 1373.
Status : Abbess, mystic, wife, mother, widow, founder of the Orderof the Most Holy Saviour.
A Patron of Europe, widows, Sweden.
Today has been mild and still. It is 21. 7c in the living room.
I did some shopping, had breakfast, watched online Mass from St Marie's, and watched a couple of interesting YouTube talks about St Bridget of Sweden. She was married very young and birthed 8 children. After her husband died she lived in Rome. The Lord Jesus blessed St Bridget with visions and special prayers. She is the sort of Saint I admire. Kind, humble, down to Earth and totally devoted to God.
I up potted an apple tree I have grown from a Pink Lady pip. It's about 2 feet tall.
Paul mowed the back lawn and strimmed the edge, as it was dry again and ideal weather for mowing.
Paul dug a deep hole and planted the Cherry tree in the lawn beside the Discovery Apple tree.
I collected Mallow seeds. They are like tiny doughnut shapes.
My collection of seeds includes alliums, Welsh poppies, Calendula and Selene, white flowers.
I store them in white envelopes and label them then keep them in a tin with wildflowers on it.
Soon the Corncockle seeds will turn brown and I will collect and store them.
I hope you are enjoying your time today.
Thank you for dropping by blip friends.
