Three
Three years! Who'd have thought?!
Did it go quickly.. or slow?
Depends when you ask!
It’s still very strange here with Ben’s recent residential move, we’re just finding our feet slowly, checking in with him a lot and looking at next steps. Thank goodness for the little dog who makes me smile every day.. I did intend to do a better photo for the blip day but I had reached 5pm with only a picture from our morning stomp in the woods so, I thought, maybe a ‘me and Leo’ selfie?? As you can see it did not happen on the first attempt!
The rest of the day has been full. I got up early to walk Leo in the woods and then went to the local leisure centre for a gym induction, I quite enjoyed myself although I had managed to book the induction at the time that the hospital physios do their group sessions, so it was very busy and it has to be said the clientele were a bit doddery (I fit right in!) I popped to the fishmongers on the way home and then did some prep as I had an informal job interview for a student mentor position working at the university, supporting students who have autism. I had been prepping for a couple of days and I immersed myself in it for a few more hours this morning only to log onto the remote call and find the interviewer was having technical issues and just disappeared. I tried emailing (multiple times) and waiting in the virtual waiting room, calling the main office number and I have so far had no luck getting an explanation. It was very frustrating, even informal interviews are nerve wracking, especially when you’ve been out of the job market for a while, so getting all ready and psyched up just for it to fizzle out has made me a bit miffed. I’ll chase with the head office people tomorrow.
I did a bit of shopping with Older Teen and now I’m just waiting for Mr KCNQ2Haiku to get back from his work trip to Edinburgh.
Also, as ever on a blip day, thanks to this lovely community for having me here, I love that blip makes photographs an essential part of my day and hopefully now I’m starting to have a little bit more time, I can pay a bit more attention to all the other wonderful journals here. Thanks to anyone who follows along and of course to the behind the scenes people for making it all happen.. here’s to another 12 months!
