Flying Small White

The wings are out of focus but it’s the best butterfly in flight photo I remember taking so it had to be my blip today. I have only just noticed the beautifully focused fly on the flower head!
I saw several Small White Butterflies in the garden today where I spent most of the day tidying some of the unruly plants and rescuing two bees that were drowning, one in the medium sized bird bath and the other in a bucket of water. When I scooped them out of the water I put them each into their own cosmos flower and they instantly started to feed off the nectar, eventually they were dry and strong enough to fly off. A happy result.
