Too much

This funny little flippy card thing was on the desk of someone who works in HR at our UK office, where I spent the day today. Are you supposed to flip this in someone’s face if they drone on too much in a meeting? Where do I get one?

I’m not riveted to be back at work after two weeks off, but I ploughed through the inbox and presented an update on an aspect of the landscape programme where we’d like more support. We shall see if owt comes of it.

I caught the train back from Woking to London where announcements told of ‘disruptive passengers at Basingstoke’, who were creating delays.

A fantastic and long-awaited evening on the South Bank with my old school friend Beth, who I haven’t seen since before Covid upended the world. She’s smashing her career at the Natural History Museum, so our respective brushes with David Attenborough dominated the agenda. We vowed to see each other more regularly and we went back home in merry states.
