Pleasant morning dog walk to start our day.

Took more stuff to the charity shop before continuing to the market.

Back home dealing with house move business again.  Responded to email from solicitor regarding alternative moving dates as not all paperwork signed and received by their solicitor by the bottom of the chain, move couldn't go ahead.  Also our removal company had held our 3-4 day slot open long enough and would be losing other customers.

Later email from solicitor saying our buyer wouldn't budge from moving on the 31 July and our buyer 'advised' we should seek another removal company.

There is only a week left to find another removal company and would be difficult especially as we are not moving within the city.  Also we have been given many packing boxes by our current company and we trust that our belongings will be well looked after.  Our moving process will take at least 3 days including packing that we haven't already done, loading vehicles, storing in Cambridge overnight and travelling to Sheringham the next day and possibly a fourth day of picking up last items from Cambridge and transporting them.  It's demanding.

By comparison our buyers are moving from a smaller house in the estate immediately behind our back garden to our larger house literally round the corner.  Not even half a mile away.  The logistics are vastly different.

It's all academic really as our buyers' buyer's documents still haven't been signed and received.  So our buyer can't move until that's done.   There's no point us booking removal, paying and losing money if nothing is certain.  Everyone needs to be fair, accepting different moving situations and flexible to keep good will and successful moves for all.

Later call from our solicitor said documents had been received but as the required solicitor wasn't present until tomorrow no contract could be exchanged.

Mr and I wonder if all required documents are actually there and signed.  Previous requests have been met with silence and our solicitor was told last week that documents had been sent and were not found.  Trust isn't strong.  And we are nearly at the end of another week.  Hey-ho.

Looking forward to meeting friend Irish Jane tomorrow.

Going to now curl up with green tea, a couple of squares of dark chocolate and something distracting to watch.

Pleasant evening everyone.
