Surprise

Hubby found a walk and checked it on the OS maps app to check length. We drove to the car park only to find it closed, no other parking in the area so moved on. Found a carpark about five miles along the road and looked at the app to find many walks so off we went. Signage good and path well defined, until it wasn’t. We ended up walking through lots of bracken and uneven ground and felt like we were never going to see out feet again and suddenly a good path again. Fun. Back into Helmsley for lunch, a look round the church and the castle and back to site. The church was fabulous, much of the walls brightly painted and a super painted roof. Planned to get an ice cream after the castle but it started to rain, and I don’t like ice cream in the rain, so headed back to camper.
