Time Out

Mrs I was away all day.

Her sister's birthday soon.

My task was to keep out of trouble and walk the dog.

I asked Hollie if she wanted a walk. She said she preferred a swim.

So the river it was.

My main shot exemplifies the mindset of one who needed to get away from things. From people. Best viewed large.

The first of the two collages in extra show a fallen giant.  An elm I think. It was split clean in two. One half fell south east. The other half fell north west. Each half is approximately sixty feet long. It must have been an impressive giant. Sad to see it brought down, but there is life in the old dog yet. There is a huge eruption of new growth from the shattered stump.

Nature gives me hope where humanity fails.

In the second extra is the view across the first field full of ripening wheat. Hollie knows the way.

When I eventually caught up with her in the river, she showered me. She seems to think we both need to get wet.

Thanks for that Hollie.

A good day, happy to be wet and at peace with my little world.

The rest of the world seems to be going to hell in a hand cart......
