Geocaching trip, health, hospital, family and home

My great grandson Elliott is in hospital in Bolton. He is not yet 5 years of age. He has chicken pox which he is not that unwell with but he suddenly developed an obvious tic so he needed to be checked out. They admitted him and he had a drip earlier plus he is on intravenous anti-virals. He was fasted for an MRI but then didn't get one and was crying because he was "starving" bless him. Now he is to have the MRI tomorrow (they need to exclude a brain problem) and will need sedating for it. his parents have been with him and Caroline, my granddaughter nipped home earlier to have a shower before returning to the hospital (Bolton) and staying with him overnight. They think it is most likely something that will go of its own accord (it can happen with infections in children). I saw a photo of him looking pretty forlorn in his hospital bed but with a plate full of toast - about 8 slices!
My daughter Karen (Caroline's mum) has flown out to Florida today with her youngest, Sofia so no doubt will be feeling the distance at present.
I went on the planned geocaching trip today, with my friends, Margaret and Ian. Alli (their daughter-in-law) and her little one Cassandra, joined us. We were doing two adventure lab caches (5 stages each) at Edge Hill Uni in Ormskirk pus 2 earthcaches afterwards.
What we had not realised was that it was graduation day at the uni! This made it busy but interesting.
The grounds are beautiful and make for a lovely walk. We picked some apples and pears on the way in.
When I got home Terry had been repairing the ceiling which fell down while he was in hospital! One of the sections had snapped so he had to go to buy another and the firm making this type had ceased trading so he had to get a piece that looked very similar. He was unhappy with this and when he showed it me he said he didn't think it will look right so he'll end up having to redo the whole lot (having just repaired a large chunk of it). Looking at the piece I was more optimistic (not like me, I'm a doom and gloom and worst case scenario woman usually). Anyway, he slotted it in and it looks just like the rest! Yay! I was not impressed with him doing such physical work already but he was pleased with himself so that's fair enough. He will finish it off tomorrow but he's done a lot.
