Ta-da!

Did I mention the last time we ordered something from John Lewis, it disappeared into their system for weeks and eventually turned-up 2 months and many, many frustrated phone calls late. Against my better judgement, and because I'm a loyal sort and I like co-operatives, we ordered an expensive (to us) chair from them seven weeks ago. Today, bits of it turned up, but no legs. Hum.  

Elsewhere, the joiners left early because the final section of our roof fascia which was due to arrive on Monday, still hasn't arrived. In truth, I've really only so much energy for moaning at disappointing suppliers, so I shrugged and accepted it instead. Sigh. 

On a more positive note, I've discovered that the new cubbyhole created from the conversion of the old back garden store cupboard is a splendid place to just sit and watch the world go by. The perfect antidote to John Lewis and the joiners. 

Edit: I made some soda bread too. Quick, easy and tasty.
