We live here

The weather was dry and not windy so I cycled to and from the Health Walk again and then went with the people who were only doing a short walk. We had 14 walkers today (plus 3 volunteers), a really good number.
After organising the refreshments I had a look at a display about the Dighty Burn to show planned improvements. It also had some old photos and this one shows what the area was like before our house was built 15 years later. Our house is in the area to the right of the chimney which is more or less surrounded by trees, somewhere near where the small building is.
The trees furthest away haven't been there in my memory, the ones on this side partly remain and the ones on the left nearest the mill are the ones recently cut down - they weren't small in 1959! There's another old pic in extras of the mill ponds before they started silting up.
Not long at home (long enough to get changed and eat lunch) and then up to the Community Centre to do some interviewing. We had 3 candidates today though I went for a walk during the 2nd interview as I know the candidate. More tomorrow.
A bit of cycling watching and an unwind.
