Popped out to the retail park this morning, mainly to go to Hobbycraft to look for ideas for fabric etc to make an activity mat for my nephew’s baby. Went into The Range to look at plants whilst I was there and was surprised to see autumn and halloween displays- it’s not even August yet! Got home and went online to look for ideas for the mat. Not a very successful search!
Decided to carry on with gardening so weeded , cut back and cleared the leaves in the front garden and under the hedge. It’s been a good while since I did this so it took ages. Also cleared the worst of the weeds from the pavement and tree roots bordering the house. When I’d done that i cut back a huge shrub next to the new pond. It had got very leggy and too big. I was going to get rid of it completely but decided to cut it back hard and see if it regrows. It looks rather pathetic at the moment so will need to plant around it! . Was hot and dirty after all that so had a lovely long shower
