Slow
I usually always check my camera settings before and during shooting but for some reason when I picked up the camera to grab some hummingbird shots this morning, I didn't look. And later realized that my shutter speed was 1/80 while my aperture was f/14 - not settings you'd ever shoot hummingbirds at! I am actually shocked at how sharp the body came out and in this case, I don't mind that the wings have almost completely disappeared. Kind of a fun shot and worth a look in Large.
It is blazingly hot today with full sun, so not a good day to be outside. Jax and I went out early but by 9 it was already too hot so we retreated into the air conditioned house. I found a few big caterpillars doing their walkabout in the garden so I snatched them up and put them in a container so they can pupate in safety. Meanwhile, the 11 that I have in a second container that I collected as eggs are now big and fat and getting restless. Two are crawling around the container trying to find just the right spot to hang while the remaining 9 are eating with gusto. And pooping with equal gusto.
I had a virtual yoga class today which felt absolutely wonderful. I've missed my regular classes this past month so nice to get back on track.
I need to work on some computer stuff this afternoon but I think I may give in to a nap first.
