Lathyrus Odoratus

Prosaic

A hot and humid day. I spent much of it clipping our three Box topiary balls. I was accompanied by more butterflies - especially Gatekeepers - than I could count. My blip today is of a Ringlet, known in the late 17th century as the "Brown-eyed butterfly with yellow circles"  (Petiver, 1699). Prosaic indeed.
