Sunflowers

My usual place for summer sunflower fields has had a failed crop this year which is a shame as they do it so well. 
So, I saw a sign for the local farm business advertising a sunflower trail so I thought I'd go and see if it was any good. It was very busy with lots of children as you would expect in the school holidays. The sunflowers were past their best I'd say, despite it only being open for a couple of weeks. But with the lack of rain and searing heat, I suppose it's to be expected. 
Overall, it was a nice 45 minutes wandering around, but it was difficult to find the shots I'd imagined as there were too many tatty blooms. Even the kids trail was a bit lame, so I'll be returning to my other farm next year if they are successful. The bees seemed to be enjoying them though.
