Warm and cloudy

A good day starting with a UFO gathering this morning, pleasant as always and later cat work on the laptop, the day disappeared with odd jobs completed along the way.  I decided to stop at my favourite place for a bf and across the road spotted a thistle near a mass of meadowsweet. 

I liked this:
The thistle is a symbol of Scotland because of a legend that says it alerted Scottish warriors to an invading Norse army. The Norsemen, attempting to sneak up on the sleeping Scots, stepped on thistles and cried out in pain, thus revealing their presence.
