Another Myrtle
My doctor appointment was early today. We decided to let Momma sleep in. Hubby got her up after 9:00 and provided a hearty breakfast. These brilliant crepe myrtle trees were near my doc’s office. There was an array of colors throughout the area. These were set off by the bright blue, cloudless sky. While I was in the exam room, my sister tried to call me. Our uncle, our father’s BIL, passed away unexpectedly last night. I feel bad for his wife; she depends heavily on him. Looks like I will be starting physical therapy twice a week for 8-10 weeks, as soon as they can fit me in. Let’s hope I won’t have to go that long. I am awaiting a call from the PT office. My doc says I have done all I can do to fix the fasciitis at home with no success. When I got home, Momma had her shower and off we went to pick up a shelf from Home Depot. While we were up there, we treated my mother to a bowl of Cold Stone chocolate ice cream. She was delighted. Our final stop was to purchase some country sausage. I picked my tomatoes, watered a few plants, cleaned the kitchen and am ready for a nap. It is 97°F outside with a heat index of 110°F. I was drenched after being outside about 10 minutes. Our activities for the day are finished. Looking forward to a quiet weekend. Wishing the same for you. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “Do we need to make a special effort to enjoy the beauty of the blue sky? Do we have to practice to be able to enjoy it? No, we just enjoy it. Each second, each minute of our lives can be like this. Wherever we are, any time, we have the capacity to enjoy the sunshine, the presence of each other, even the sensation of our breathing.” - Nhat Hanh
