Rose of Sharon Protected from Hungry Deer
We woke up to another sunny day. Hubby helped make Momma’s breakfast. I made a ham sandwich, knowing I wouldn’t be able to eat for a while after my dental procedure. First order of business was putting pork tenderloin in the crock pot. While Momma was at the table, I went out the kitchen door to see if there were any rose of Sharon blooms. This bush came from my mother’s house, a fine old fashioned plant for my garden. You may recall I had to cover it with deer fencing because the deer enjoyed the soft shoots too much. It was too hard to remove the fencing to get a picture. But I like this look. Brooklyn stayed with Momma who slept the entire time I was gone. Honestly, there was no pain today. I don’t think I have had that amount of novocaine before and it started numbing my face, jaw, gums and even my ear immediately. I have used this dentist since I was a young adult. He is past retirement age but says he would be miserable retiring; good news for his patients. He filed down the remainder of my tooth to prepare it for a crown. He subcontracts crown manufacturing these days so I’ll have a temporary crown for four weeks. My checking account took quite a hit to get that tooth fixed! When I got home, it was time to make lunch. Hubby had a bite, gathered tools, took Brooklyn home and went to Kristen’s. Seems like he and Chris had miscommunications, or should I say, no communication, as he was putting the camper in the garage last night. They now have to replace sheet rock and pieces and parts on the rear of the camper. Far be it from me to say a word. I am guilty of similar mishaps. Wishing you the absence of mishaps this week. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “A truly great dentist is hard to find, difficult to part with, and impossible to forget.” - Magdalena Walulik
