Wow!

We nipped out to get some new bedding before going to the hospital for SWMBO's appointment.

Our new mattress arrived this morning.
When the guys brought it out of van I thought we had made a big mistake ..... it was maybe 2" thick.
It was very heavy though as they struggled to get it out and take it upstairs.
Then they cut the plastic packing off it..........
BOOM! .. It was suddenly 10" deep!!
The vacuum pumps they use to pack it must be very efficient.

I did some weeding and then had to go and stand at the lathe for a bit to stretch and relax my back.
It is doing things like weeding that really shows me how bad my back is getting.
There are two little boxes to show for the time at the lathe (but not photographed yet).

This evening SWMBO and I went to The Larder's cafe in Blackburn for the evening of entertainment by a young local singer.
There was no photography allowed on this occasion. I suspect that it was because of one of the audience... a lady by the name of Susan Boyle a very pleasant and chatty lady who has been know to sing the occasional song.
We left early as SWMBO wasn't feeling brilliant and seemed to have a slight palsy type 'droop' to her mouth. I am glad to say that it appeared to nothing more than tiredness.
She is a constant source of worry that woman!
