Figs and greengage plums

I pottered over to the allotment yesterday to check on the fruit and its ready!  I picked 4 lbs of figs and 10lbs of greengage plums, competing with the wasps.  I shall pick the rest today  and distribute around the neighbourhood, freeze or make jam.

 Greengage, especially, have a very short life both on the tree and once picked.
