The Last Ice Cream

It’s all over bar the shouting as they say. My last ice cream was consumed just before being picked up by the main man at the Cheeky Monkey Taxi Service and transported to the Airport.
It’s been a very busy morning counting in the Selkie Harbour Swimmers and counting them out, tired but triumphant at the Graemsay slip.

The weather has again been good for the last day of Stromness Shopping Week. The children who are very many have had a wonderful few days without rain , making sand castles, running three legged races and having lots of craft fun.

As for me, I’ve had the best 2 months since last year’s two months in Orkney. The weather this year couldn’t have been better, the Swimming couldn’t have been better and most important of all , my Selkies are the best- the nicest ladies you could ever meet.

I’ll be home in 3 hours and back into my life in the centre of Edinburgh and the chaos that is the Fringe. I do look forward to seeing my friends and neighbours again but I will so miss my Orkney Friends
