A special day for Jude
Today was Jude’s pre school graduation!!
She actually went for the last time a week ago but this was a little celebratory event for the leavers. She wanted to wear a special dress so out came the Princess ballet dress from a couple of weeks ago. It was held in the nursery garden and as Grace had a ‘Bar’ class at 9.00 I walked down with the girls to meet Grace there at 10.30
There was a little ceremony - extra - all bonkers really but Jude was happy and at least we didn’t take a miniature gown as one lot of parents did! She wanted Eda to take her up which was lovely. A nice ending to the 4 years she has spent here and there were pictures hanging around the garden of all the children over that period at different stages.
After there were cup cakes for the leavers and platters of fruit for all plus the chance to have face paints and play on the equipment. Eda wanted to know if she could have her face painted too. Not being a leaver Grace asked if she could do it for her and ended up doing several others. Eda is a blue fox, two of Jude’s friends wanted unicorns like her and another bigger boy wanted Super Mario!
I left ahead of them as Grace would be taking the girls home on the bike and I wanted to go into Larkhall. I asked one of the girls to unlock the gate for me as I was walking home and she was shocked that I was walking ‘up that hill’. Super gran me!
Once in Larkhall I popped into the Deli and treat myself to a coffee and croissant and as I came out they were just riding past me. We both wanted to get things from the co op so I snapped this blip before they got off the bike. They’d managed to come away with some of the balloons.
A more chilled afternoon, the sun is now out and mini neighbour P is here again. Grace is out tonight but Chris has now arrived to help out.
John face timed from Japan soon after we got back, he’s spent today in Kyoto and will be in Tokyo tomorrow before business again on Monday in Kobe I think
Last night, once we’d eaten and P had gone home, we watched The Secret Garden. As they entered the garden Puzzlewood was immediately recognisable as the location. There were probably about 4 other gardens being used too as I certainly recognised the very famous Laburnum Arch at Bodnant!
