Eating Apples

It is very early for these apples to show this much colour as the tree  is normally regarded as a September fruiter. A good crop still remains even though I picked off about one third in the Spring as so many had set.

After a damp drizzly start, ideal for car cleaning, the sun eventually broke through about 1300, thereafter the afternoon was pleasantly warm despite a good breeze blowing.
