Today I Are...............

Mostly painting the new gates, and the old one that leads down the other side of the house to the back garden.
Along with the additional pipe clips, purchased yesterday, I bought a tub (9 litres 'Medium Oak') of fence paint. It's a bit more red than I had imagined it to be but it'll do fine. Gives good protection to the wood, which appears to have been treated anyway.
You can see the clips attached to the gate post, but not so clearly around the pole itself as they have been sprayed with 'Chrome' spray paint before being screwed into place. The paint is not so much chrome as aluminium silver which blends exactly with the pole.
That took a while to do, including all the surrounding posts and bars across the top, but there was still plenty of time for two Ziggy walks and and episode of Star Wars "The Phantom Menace", which is nearly 2 and a half hours long!
