Lakeland100

I first ran the Lakeland50 in 2010 from Dalemain to Coniston.
I ran with Jim & Gaz from work, we had no idea about Ultra Running. Our plan was to stick together, rotate the leader and not leave a man down..
It was hard and hilarious at points, we finished with 56 miles instead of 50 due to a navigational shambles in 18.5 hours.
I returned over the years with my running club eventually to run the Lakeland100 in 2019.
My old club from Kent still come up every year, runners in the 50 and the 100..
This was the Lakeland 100 race at the 6pm start on Friday.  Heading out of Coniston up into the hills.
700 runners entered this year,  usually around half manage to finish..
