Old Neighbourhood

Into town for Soc Cafe, in our old neighbourhood. Strange to think that thirty years ago when L and I met I was living in the Forrest Road flat at the top of Middle Meadow Walk that I had bought with M. It was big for two people and massive for one, as L commented when she first came round, ‘You don’t have any flatmates?’
The Soc Cafe questions were ‘Why does the right challenge the idea of climate change?’, ‘Can the Labour Party survive Farage?’ and ‘How worried should I be about A.I.?’ I wondered if the person Labour should be most worried about is Starmer. We had some interesting discussions.
And I sold another copy of my book, to A, who was away earlier in the year.
