A blackbird feeding on Rowan tree berries
I noticed a blackbird on one of the trees near our house, sitting on a branch and eyeing up the garden. A little later I saw it fly across to the other side of the garden and when I poked my head out of my study window I saw what it had seen. The rowan berries had become very attractive. But my movement of opening the window and peering out disturbed it so it flew off.
I sensed it wouldn’t be long before it returned as the berries won’t be there for long. I brought my camera onto my desk and when I next spotted the blackbird I gingerly poked it and mu head out of the already open window. I only had time for a couple of shots before it flew away, but it had already managed a few berries and a sly look at me.
