Le Dolman des Fades
We had a lovely walk around Pepieux and out to the Dolman des Fades, or Dolman of the fairies... it's the largest passage tomb in the south of France, being 24m in length and it's about 5000 years old.
Set on a hill amidst old and new pine groves it was clearly the focal point for the local pagans and druids... there was a stone labyrinth and many other clues to their presence. No fairies though.
The cicadas were again singing their hearts out, and when we finally located one it was plain to see why they're so hard to find. See extra.
