Settling in by the Solway
We got away by 10 and had a good drive over the Roman road to the M6 and onwards to Galloway.
Our site had gone up from £10 to £15 since the last time we stayed - and no hook-up. But Colin saved us a spot by their van right on the beach. It’s as lovely as before though much busier. Last time there were no sailing boats, paddle boards etc.
After having our lunch we played boules - they won. Then as the tide went out Katy and I looked for pretty shells and collected plastic rubbish. By the time we got back Colin decided it was gin O’clock (they had run out so we brought fresh supplies). We had to go into their van as the rain started but the forecast is better for tomorrow.
Fellow campers are all very quiet. Maybe they are inside watching the match but we have no TV connection. Fingers crossed.
