The Mossyard Labyrinth
We have had a very relaxed day. Katy suggested we get going early to walk over the mud to an area only accessible from here at low tide which was at 9am.
It was a squelchy slither in places and through some water till we reached a tombolo from where we could walk up to a labyrinth created many years ago. It had fallen into disrepair so local children had rebuilt it in Covid times. It was very pretty with wild flowers.
When we got back the promised sunny weather did not materialise so we put up the windbreak. Colin practiced his guitar as he has an audition for another band next week, Mr C read his book and Katy and I knitted till it got too cold.
We played boules - they beat us 2-1. I hoped it would end earlier so that I could swim but the tide had gone so far out I’d have walked to Cumbria. We just had a paddle.
I cooked a veggie pasta dish for supper and we had my salted caramel ice cream, after which we played their favourite game, UNO. Colin won.
We have to head home tomorrow as we are going to be looking after the boys for a couple of days, but hope to catch up with cousin Duncan in Dumfries on our way back.
