The tide is out = mud plodge
Katy and I had a mud plodge to the big caravan and static site across the bay as she needed some food from the shop. It was mild but drizzling.
When we got back Mr C had the van ready to depart. I just had to hose down my muddy feet - unlike Katy I can’t wear wellies so went barefoot. I’m sure 2 miles in mud and sand would be doing my leg the world of good.
It was only an hour to the Dumfries by-pass where we met cousin Duncan at a farm shop/cafe for some lunch. He is staying with his daughter in Dumfries to help with her husband who has MND and can no longer walk or feed himself. They are waiting to be allocated some care as Sam can’t cope on her own with 2 children as well. Her husband is only 48 and the disease has progressed rapidly from him leading a normal life 4 months ago to his current condition. It’s all so sad.
We’ve had a lovely, albeit brief visit to Newton Farm. Now we must get home to be ready for the boys coming for a couple of days b
