Life through the lens...

Figs.

A day of sunshine and showers.
I went round to neighbours D & C to help prune their fig tree.
Watching George on Beechgrove, a couple of weeks ago, he showed how to give a fig tree  a summer prune. This is to let the light in to ripen the figs and also the strength going into producing large fruits instead of large leaves.
There seems to be quite a good crop so hopefully a good harvest later.

Then stopped for a cuppa and a catchup. Nice to hear about their recent holiday in Pembrokeshire. They had fabulous weather.
Brought back some seaweed gin which we will sample next time we go round for a meal.
They called at the distillery a couple of years ago and C has been buying it ever since.
D is the whisky fan.

Now watching the ladies football.
Fingers crossed.
One all at the moment.
