Lovely Open Garden

A friend drove to an Open Garden near Haslemere today owned by a friend of hers plus partner, she had not visited before . It is about 10 acres plus another 30 acres of woods! It was established a long time ago but the present owners have revived and developed it in the last five years. This shows the pond and beyond are lots of rhododendrons . There is a very long rill going down the garden, a magnificent greenhouse…see extra..walled garden and various other areas. It had so many plants in full flower and …due to irrigation…the lawns were green and everything looked healthy! One of the best gardens I have ever seen . Also lots of lovely scent from many lilies in pots around the garden plus giant agapanthus. I was also impressed that the abundant hostas had not suffered much from slugs.
I was not surprised to find that they employ several gardeners!

There were also very nice cakes and tea/coffee.

Back home now watching the womens euros football. What will the result be?
